Merry Christmas ~ 2011

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Boy, I am one lucky mom! Although the boys were completely uncooperative the day we went to get their pictures taken (the first time I've done Christmas photos), we got a few that truly captures their personalities! They are such good buddies!

In this photo, they are reading the book that Grandma used to read to Uncle Greg.

Wishing all of you a blessed and happy holiday season from our family to yours!!
Love, Ryan, Kim, Bennett (3 1/2) and Landon (2)

Pancakes, picnics, and parties, oh my!!

What a fun-filled day we had on Saturday! It began with pancakes in the park. Our local festival was having pancake breakfast and we got some free tickets, compliments of Aunt Kelly. We had to stand in line for a quite a while, but we certainly enjoyed our morning picnic.

And before you knew it, we were feeding the leftover pancakes to the ducks who started joining us on the grass!!!

Then, it was off to grandma and grandpas for a visit and then nap time. We then headed up to Uncle Ron's cabin for a great party--complete with Bugjuice!

Bennett trying out a game with cousin Josey!

Landon got in on the action, too!!!

Gorgeous sunset as they were letting off fireworks!
(Didn't see many of them--both boys, especially Landon, were bothered by the noise--the first one that went off, Landon started screaming and ran to hide under the deck, poor thing!!)

Finished the night off with glow sticks, a bonfire, and then a quiet ride home as both boys feel fast asleep :-) Had an awesome time hanging out with family today!

Happy Father's Day!

So, I spent so much time trying to decide what to get Ryan for Father's Day. He has been so wonderful lately . . . he always is, but really has had to kick it up a notch in these last few months. Between me beginning my Arbonne business and needing to be away for shows or me working on homework or me working late, he's been a rock! How do you pick a gift for that?? Instead of buying a gift, I bought a day of family time. I booked a hotel about 30 minutes away and we hopped in the car. We began at the local parade and then headed to find the rides. I think Bennett is just like daddy . . . he loves crazy rides!! After dinner, we went for a walk around the lake--beautiful! Then, we had to stop at a park.

Daddy and Bennett climbed the TALLEST slide I have ever seen!!

Landon tried some climbing, too.

We had to find the ducks and geese because Bennett wanted to feed them his
graham crackers :-)

Then, we headed back to the hotel for swim time! It was so much fun because there was no one else in the pool area.

Both the boys enjoyed the water. Bennett practiced jumping in and Landon showed no fear--not sure if that's a good thing or not!

After a long and fun day together as a family, free of distractions, we curled up and found a favorite on TV--Cars. The boys who were both exhausted started bickering and needed to be separated. So, Landon laid down with Ryan and I was next to Bennett. It wasn't long before Ryan and Landon were sound asleep and Bennett followed shortly after.

I had so much fun spending time as a family! It was a great way to take some time just for the four of us! And it was a great way to tell a great dad that we love him! Thanks for all you do, Daddy!!! We love you!

Like My New Pillow???

My little Landon has become very interested in coloring lately. Prior to this, he took a brown marker and colored all over the couch cushions. I managed to get most of it out. So, a few days later, I was putting the boys' clothes away, came out, and found my sweetheart sitting on the couch with markers in hand. Upon closer observation, I found the red and blue on the pillow and my favorite fleece blanket. Wish I had leather . . .

Sorry!!

So sorry to those of you who check my blog! I also got roped into Facebook and find it so much easier to just post things on there. My blog has taken a back seat. I will do my best to start updating it again soon!

Hilarious!

On Thursday night, we went into the boys' bedroom and found that Bennett has made his bed. We were praising him for doing such a good job. We pulled back the covers so he could get in bed . . .
and this is what we found!

He had lined up all his Toy story characters and tucked them into bed!!! We could not stop laughing--but how sweet! It's so fun to watch him baby and take care of his toys and teddy bear (except when he gets mad and throws them across the room!). He has the early makings of being a great daddy someday!
