Sneak Preview

Okay, so I probably shouldn't be giving this secret away--but how cute are they??? With Auntie Kelly's wedding only 13 days away, I had to start trying on, washing, and ironing the boys' clothes for the big day. They were so handsome, I had to snap a picture . . . and I just couldn't keep it to myself!

Brush, brush!

Total count: 3 teeth and more on the way

Bennett's Baloney

As I have done with the best ideas from my sister . . .
I'm stealing! Bennett is getting to the age where his vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds and he is frequently coming out with some funny stuff! I have to start recording it and sharing it. Enjoy!

"Mama, stop talking!"

One day he was jumping on our neighbors trampoline when he sits down and starts taking off his shoe.
Mom: "Bennett, what's the matter?"
Bennett: "A twee in my soo."
Mom: "There's a tree in your shoe??"
Bennett: "Uh, huh."
Luckily, it was just a rock.

"Landon picking nose." He wasn't, but it's good to know I can count on him to spy on his brother.

Naked Baby On The Loose!

The pose . . .

and away he goes!!!!

Off to the Fawm!

Last week, I had the opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with my first born. His daycare was headed to a petting farm and I signed up to tag along. As soon as the permission slip came out, Bennett could not stop talking about taking a "scwool bus" to the "fawm." Every morning on our drive to school, he would remind me about it. So the day finally arrived--he could hardly contain himself . . .

We got to see baby kittens that had been born the day before, goats, a pot-belly pig,

a miniture horse, cats, a dog, and bunnies---lots and lots of bunnies! Bennett had a blast running from one thing to the next, along he wasn't too interested in touching anything.

With a nice freezy pop to cool us off!

On the way home, all he could was ask "where's the fawm?" He has been talking about it for the past week and still mentions, "scwool bus back up." Yep, the school bus had to back up (on a side note, he was about the craziest school bus driver I have ever ridden with--I think he forgot he had a bunch of small children on board--yikes!!!)
Thanks for the fun day, Bennett!

Landon is 9 months!

My baby, not so much a baby anymore, has turned 9 months old! The next time I take him for pictures--he'll be one year old!! Man, how the time has flown!
So, here's my sweet boy all decked out in his baseball gear.
He is such a happy guy and Bennett adores him. Except now that he's army crawling and getting around really well, he's starting to get on brother's nerves! He wants to do everything that Bennett is doing, which means getting into his toys and taking things away. Bennett has NO time for that!
Landon is starting to jabber a lot more. He says "dadadadada, mamamama, gagaga" but doesn't direct the mama or dada at Ryan or I yet. He giggles a ton!

He loves to play peek-a-boo, especially with Bennett at naptime :-) He eats a lot and loves the water!

I am so excited to see what is in store for you next, little man! You keep us on our toes and keep us smiling! We love you!

The Adventures of Two Boys!

Bennett has been such a bigger helper lately! He wants to help with brother all the time. His latest obsession--feeding Landon. I showed him how and he did a great job! Thanks, B!

But Bennett isn't always a good influence on Landon. We have realized that it is impossible to put the two of them down for a nap at the same time. One afternoon, after making such a mistake, Ryan and I overheard some giggling and noises coming from their bedroom. When we opened the door a crack, we saw Bennett holding his blanket up to Landon's crib and they were playing peek-a-boo!!! Bennett would pull the blanket down and Landon would let out a big belly laugh! As upset as we were that they weren't sleeping, it was enough to melt your heart--what a pair!

So, here's what it feels like to be the only female in the house--
A few weeks ago, the boys were playing together in the living room. I turned on the blow-dryer and instanteously, they turned their heads and looked at me like it was the most bizaare sound they had ever heard. Both of their eyes were fixed on the blow dryer. It was a moment I wish I had had my camera ready! And yes, my oldest son plays in my make-up--I think he'll grow out of it someday . . . . . .

Spontaneous Summer Fun!

Last week, as the weather began to warm up, I pulled the pool out and got it filled. It was late in the afternoon and Bennett asked if he could go in. Thinking he'd put one toe in and realize how cold the water was, there was no way he'd want to play in it. But, before we knew it, he hopped in with clothes on and began splashing and having a ball!

Landon looked on ~ enjoying the grass with his hands and feet!

My New Trick!

Story Time

Isn't this sweet? This is how it started . . .
And this is what was happening about 2 seconds later :-)

No patience for Green Eggs and Ham tonight!
