The Bennetts

On Tuesday, we headed to Daddy's basketball game. As it turned out, Dick Bennett, the Badgers former coach, was going to be there to check out a few players. After the game, Aunt Kelly flagged him down and we got our pictures taken with him. He was a factor in how Bennett got his name. I knew another little boy named Bennett and had brought the name up to Ryan. He wasn't sure he liked it. But I told him to think of it like Dick Bennett--well, we did end up with Bennett for a name and now we've had a chance to meet the man in person!

A Weekend Getaway

For Bennett's birthday, we were going to take a weekend trip to an indoor water park. But since Ryan and I both had pneumonia and the boys had ear infections, we decided to postpone. We finally got our chance to get away this past weekend. Landon was having fun sitting in the suitcase!




The water was a little chilly, so Landon was too interested about getting wet.

But Bennett was having a blast in the kid's area!

He was going down the slide on his tummy and having a great time! This was a great place to go with small kids--I can definitely see a trip back there in the future!

Can You Say "YAHOO"!!!????

Why are we so excited? Our Bennett is now completely potty trained!! Daytime and nighttime! After getting a big push from my sister on New Year's Eve, we took all of Bennett's diapers away and them him they disappeared. He could "borrow" diapers from brother at nighttime. The first day went okay, the second day we were ready to give up, but it continued to get better every day after that. He's been accident-free for about three whole weeks and has been dry at night for over a week, so we switched to underwear at night and he's been doing great!
