Already A Fan

Bennett spent the evening enjoying daddy's basketball game, even though he slept through most of it. He was cheering in spirit :-) Sadly, our team lost, so no more basketball until next year. That will give Bennett plenty of time to rest up for next season! It's hard work being such a good fan!

Weather Watching

Bennett took some time to look at all the snow that fell yesterday. This winter, we've had record snowfall--over 60 inches! And what's worse--there's more on the way!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We celebrated our first Valentine's Day as a family of three! Aunt Kelly was nice enough to baby-sit so Ryan and I could go out for a dinner alone. Thanks, Kelly!

I wonder what he's thinking ?????

My Little Turkey

As Bennett turns 4 weeks today, apparently he is too old for naps! This is how he spent two naptimes today--eyes wide open!!!! Then, 20 minutes before he needed to eat before heading to the chiropractor, he decides to take a little snooze! I guess he's showing me who's boss around the house :-)

Baptism Celebration

On Saturday, February 2nd, my little boy was baptized at First Lutheran by Pastor Stanton. It was such a special evening! It will be a story I share with Bennett often as he slept through the entire thing!! He didn't even wake up when the water was poured over his head. We received a blue and white prayer shawl as a gift from the church. Godparents included Heather, David, Craig, and Becky. Even though David was not able to be here in person, I know he will serve as a wonderful role model in the years to come. Our little boy is so lucky to have such incredible people in his life. He is such a miracle! Afterwards, everyone came back to our house to have supper and cake. It was a joyous night!

My Cousin Bennett

My sister and my nieces arrived in town to meet the newest member of the family. My three year old niece, Mattea, calls Bennett "her baby." She reminds us that Bennett is her cousin constantly and watches over him like a hawk. She is such a good helper--always bringing me diapers, wipes, and his pacifier. Aunt Heather has also been a big help--she is getting all of us into a great routine. It's so great to be able to share this experience with them--I'm so glad you're here!!

Bath Time!

Bennett's first bath experience was not an enjoyable one! He screamed through the whole thing! Granted, mom and dad didn't really know what they were doing, but that's no reason to squirt mom in the leg. As someone who never grew up with boys, it is taking me some time to learn how to deal with his "boy parts." Every day is an adventure--but I'm starting to learn :-)
