Wedding Day!!

No, not my wedding day--although I've tried to tell Ryan we need to get married again some day because it was so much fun! Anyway, we went to a wedding yesterday for our best man's sister. It was great to dress up, and Bennett got to meet a lot of new people. We had a blast! Congratulations to Katie and Rob!!

Taking It All Off!

The other day while I was busy trying to get something done at home, I put Bennett in his pod chair to sit and hang out for a while. I turned around and was surprised by the sight! Bennett had managed to take off his bib and put it on the floor, pulled one sock off, and was working on the other! What a funny boy!

Shake, Rattle, and Kick!!

Four Months Old!

I'm a little behind on my picture taking, but I finally snapped a few to celebrate Bennett's four month birthday. He is now 12 lbs. 5 oz and 23 3/4 inches long. He has grown and developed so much over the past month--I'm amazed at how quickly the time goes! In the last month, he has found his toes, grabs (especially hair) and chews (he loves to eat his bib) everything, and he loves to stand. Our pediatrician thinks he'll go right to walking, and she says he is very strong. We're still waiting for that first true giggle. He is starting to roll on his side and sometimes uses the sides of his toys to help him get there. He is still very alert, watches and observes everything, and smiles and talks ALL the time! I love this stage of his life--he's so much fun to be with. And he is usually very content and rarely cries. We are so blessed to have this wonderful, sweet little boy in our lives!

A Good Dream

I caught this picture this morning while Bennett was napping in his swing. He must have been having a good dream to cause such a big smile!

My First Mother's Day!

I was greeted this morning in bed with my little baby boy smiling! He came in to give me a kiss (which is him licking my face!) and to say happy mother's day! Daddy helped him sign my card by tracing his hand and putting the marker in his hand and he scribbled a little, with Daddy's help :-)

Bennett was very excited to give me his card and gifts! Of course, the cards from Bennett and my husband made me cry! It is just so amazing to have something so wonderful to celebrate today! After all the disappointing mother's days that passed while trying to get pregnant, today is that much more special!

Me and my baby boy! He had to wear his I Love Mommy outfit today! I received a gift certificate to get a massage and a new rose bush to plant in my garden to remind me of my very first mother's day!

Gifts From Daycare

On Friday, I received my first Mother's Day gifts from Bennett! He made me a flower pot decorated with his handprints and thumbprints that were made into ladybugs. The card he made was different colored handprints made into a flower bouquet--How cute is that?? The daycare ladies said he had so much making them--he would laugh and smile while they painted his hands--except the day they did the card. He was fine until they changed the paint color--he must not have liked the color they did because he started crying :-(
