Landon Update

This is one of my FAVORITE pictures of Landon! It was taken by one of the teachers at daycare. Landon smiles a lot and giggles a lot, but rarely can we catch it on camera. That's why I love this one--this is a true picture of Landon's blossoming personality!

Tomorrow, Landon reaches the 18 month mark. In the last two months or so, his personality has really begun to show. He ha a very serious side and can play quietly and contently by himself. He will grab books off the shelf and sit by himself and flip through the pages, occasionally babbling about the pictures. On the other hand, he has a very silly side! He loves to chase and copy big brother. He crawls under the smallest spaces to play and when you look down at him, he just starts giggling! His eyes continue to be a beautiful bright blue. At last count, he had 16 teeth, which has not been a pleasant experience. Typically, he gets two or three teeth at the same time, which doesn't make for a very happy child! Early on, we were a little concerned about his speaking--he wasn't really saying any words, just a lot of noises. But at current count, he is at 28 words that we recognize, which is still above what is developmentally "normal."

My favorite part--Landon is such a sweet and snuggly little boy. He is always willing to give hugs and pats you on the back while he snuggles his head into your neck. He is also getting very good at giving mooches. That is one of the best parts of being a mom--watching your kids grow and change and being able to nurture that sweet and caring side. We love you, Landon!!
