Last weekend, Ryan came up with a great plan--head to Storybook Gardens for the day. So, we hopped in the car with the boys and away we went! It was a beautiful day--not too hot. We arrived at the park just in time for the animal show to begin. It began with this guy poking his head out on stage :-)
We saw all sorts of animals including a white tiger, gray foxes, a skunk, a porcupine, and a kangaroo. Landon touched the tortise-but Bennett just watched. 
Then, we hopped on the train for a ride around the park. Bennett refused to look at anything until we went on the choo choo.
We had a great time watching the giraffes stick their heads over the fence! I knew they had long necks, but seeing them up close make you realize just how LONG they really are!

Before we headed home for the day, we stopped for some ice cream.
Great idea, Daddy! It was a fun day and a perfect opportunity to get away for the day. We had a great time together as a family!

hmmmmm, these photos look familiar. my kids loved the little nature show and of course riding on the train. that place is pretty cool. a little run down but the kids didn't mind. can you believe they stayed and played in that little barbie house and the old school house forever. and the giraffes. oh we loved those. looks like you guys had a blast. yeah!
